TaskGPT

Privacy policy

This policy covers only TaskGPT, the Chrome extension published by StudyHobby. You describe a task. TaskGPT runs that task on the web page you have open. It can run on the http and https pages you visit.

In the side panel, TaskGPT asks before it sends a task. Choose Allow once, or Always allow. You can switch Always allow back to asking every time from Details. The card on a web page sends when you press send. That card does not show a separate allow step. Choosing Agent from the card opens the panel, which asks before it sends.

What is sent

When you send a task from the side panel, StudyHobby receives:

  • The task you type, later messages in that task, and the rules you saved in Details.
  • The address and title of the page, the form fields on it, and a text outline of the controls.
  • A screenshot of the visible tab.
  • The address and title of up to about 20 other open http and https tabs.
  • Text from a resume or other document you attached, and short excerpts from a PDF you saved in Details when the task needs them. A PDF you attach in the chat can be sent with that task.
  • Your StudyHobby sign-in, when you are signed in on studyhobby.com. It is sent as an Authorization Bearer token. Your name, email, and photo can be read from that token.

TaskGPT does not collect, send, store, or type usernames, passwords, card numbers, CVV, or one-time codes. If you ask it to sign in or pay, or the page is a password or payment step, it stops on this device and does not send that page, its form values, its screenshot, your other tabs, a resume, or your StudyHobby token for that turn.

A question from the on-page card goes to the same place when the page is an ordinary task. It includes the task, the page address and title, a screenshot when you attach one, text from a file you attach, your saved rules, and the sign-in token when you are signed in. A password or payment page is not sent.

Where it goes

The task is sent to StudyHobby at https://backend.studyhobby.com/aiToolHub/extension. StudyHobby uses it to perform the task you asked for, and sends it to Google Gemini through the Gemini API. Gemini chooses the next step. That step can be a click, text to type, or a short script that TaskGPT runs on the page.

When TaskGPT fills a form, the values you asked it to enter are also sent to the website you are on. A resume is uploaded only into a file field on a form you asked to fill.

Limited Use

Use of this data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The data is used to perform the task you asked for. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used to determine creditworthiness. It is not transferred except to provide the feature you asked for (the StudyHobby backend and Google Gemini) or as required by law.

Passwords, cards, and payments

TaskGPT does not collect, send, store, or type usernames, passwords, card numbers, CVV, or one-time codes. If you ask it to sign in or pay, or the page is a password or payment step, it stops on this device and does not send that page.

It does not click Pay. It does not click Submit on a payment page. It clicks Submit only when your task says to submit, and Post or Publish only when your task says to post or publish.

Other AI sites

You can open other AI sites inside the panel. A dock on the page can open TaskGPT. Chats you have on those sites stay on those sites. They are not copied into StudyHobby. A prompt is placed in one of those tools only when you send it from TaskGPT.

So those sites can appear inside the panel, TaskGPT adjusts how some sign-in pages and AI sites are loaded there. That change is only so the page can be shown. It is not used to collect the password for that site.

What stays on this device

The sign-in token, your allow choices, saved PDF files, and a short local index stay on this device until you clear them or sign out. When you run a task that needs a saved PDF, StudyHobby receives short matching excerpts from it. A file you attach in the chat can be sent with that task. TaskGPT can also place a saved resume into a file field on a form you asked to fill.
